Overview

Co-funding is available for eligible applicants to build, own and operate EV charging stations across NSW.

There are 3 funding streams:

Metropolitan

  • stations must have a minimum of 4 charging bays, 2 x 240kW DC chargers and a 400kVA connection
  • up to 40% of total charging station project cost, capped at $300,000 per site.

Regional

  • stations must have a minimum of 3 charging bays, 2 x 175kW DC chargers and a 276kVA connection
  • up to 50% of total charging station project cost, capped at $550,000 per site.

Remote

  • stations must have a minimum of 3 charging bays, 2 x 150kW DC chargers and a 276kVA connection
  • up to 90% of total charging station project cost, capped at $700,000 per site.

Check if you can apply

Applicants must be either:

  • incorporated under the Corporations Act 2001, or
  • a state-owned corporation or subsidiary.

Applicants must also:

  • hold a current Australian business number (ABN)
  • have current public liability insurance (minimum $20 million) and workers compensation insurance  
  • meet all eligibility criteria outlined in the guidelines.
