Overview

This scheme aims to:

  • support property owners to conserve and restore heritage places
  • encourage the community to value the built heritage and understand the contribution it makes to Tasmania
  • contribute to the development of Tasmania's skilled heritage tradespeople and professionals
  • ensure the productive use of heritage assets
  • recognise and celebrate built heritage as a crucial part of the Tasmanian brand.

There are 2 funding streams:

Conservation program (small grants)

  • funding of between $5,000 and $20,000
  • supports state-registered property owners to undertake small, but significant, heritage conservation and restoration activities.

Activation program (large grants)

  • funding of between $20,000 and $200,000
  • supports heritage property owners, skills development organisations and the community to activate heritage places.
