Overview

The Australian Apprenticeships Incentive System (Incentives System) aims to help build skills and talent in the Australian workforce and help businesses to meet their current and future skills gaps. If you employ an Australian apprentice, you may be eligible for:

  • the Key Apprenticeship Program Employer Incentive where you employ apprentices working in the housing construction or clean energy sector
  • a Priority Hiring Incentive for other occupations on the Australian apprenticeships priority list.

Businesses hiring apprentices may be eligible to receive incentives. Incentives are subject to eligibility criteria, waiting periods and time limits.
