Funding for commercial fisheries and aquaculture licence holders impacted by the algal bloom

Overview

Up to $350,000 in grant payments are available through the Algal Bloom Fisheries and Aquaculture Assistance Grant to support licence holders significantly impacted by the algal bloom.

2 payments of up to $100,000 each (amounts tiered based on previous turnover) may be available to eligible businesses to meet fixed costs and overheads - including utilities, rent, finance and interest payments.

A further third payment of up to $100,000 is also available if you have already received funding through this program and can demonstrate continued impact as per the updated guidelines and meet the eligibility criteria.

Eligible businesses can also now receive up to $50,000 in additional funding to support employee wages, meaning the hardest hit businesses may now be entitled to up to $350,000 in total grants.
