OHS Essentials is a free, WorkSafe VIC funded program that helps small business improve their workplace safety.

They have safety expert consultants that go to workplaces to help businesses identify hazards, prioritise safety issues and implement strategies to mitigate or resolve them.

This program is available to

  • Victorian small businesses employing up to 60 workers, who have a WorkCover policy
  • sole traders who use contractors and have a WorkCover policy
  • all Victorian farmers
  • for 2026, manufacturers in postcode 3175 with less than 200 employees.
