Employing migrant workers: Understanding your responsibilities
This session is for WA small businesses and labour agencies responsible for employing migrant workers who want to understand their legal obligations and ensure compliance.
Since 1 July 2024, new Australian Government laws have strengthened employer responsibilities when hiring migrant workers. Businesses must understand each worker's visa conditions and support ongoing compliance. Failure to do so can result in civil penalties and other consequences.
