A strong brand helps people recognise your business, understand what you offer and remember you. The challenge is creating a clear visual identity and then using it consistently across everything your business produces.

This practical workshop is designed for business owners who want to use Canva to build a clearer and more consistent brand. You will learn how to choose colours, fonts, imagery and design elements that suit your business, then bring them together into a practical brand style guide.

You will complete practical activities throughout the workshop using your own business, ideas and content.

You will explore colour psychology and how different colours can influence the way people feel about your business. You will also learn why clarity and consistency matter when choosing brand colours, fonts and visual elements.

You will then bring everything together into your own brand style guide. This guide can be used by you, your staff, contractors or other representatives to create content that looks and feels consistent. It can also be used as a reference when working with AI tools to help generate graphics, presentations or marketing materials that better reflect your brand.

During the workshop, you will:

  • define your brand personality and how you want people to feel about your business
  • explore colour psychology and choose colours that suit your business and audience
  • learn why clarity and consistency matter when building a recognisable brand
  • select fonts and create a clear typography style
  • choose imagery, icons and graphic elements that support your brand
  • build a personalised brand style guide in Canva
  • create a branded template for social media, presentations or marketing materials
  • use your style guide to give clearer direction to AI tools when creating graphics and content.
